Jesus loves me lyrics

  1. Jesus loves me! This I know,
    For the Bible tells me so;
    Little ones to Him belong;
They are weak, but He is strong.
    • Refrain:
      Yes, Jesus loves me!
      Yes, Jesus loves me!
      Yes, Jesus loves me!
      The Bible tells me so.
  2. Jesus loves me! This I know,
As He loved so long ago,
    Taking children on His knee,
Saying, “Let them come to Me.”
  3. Jesus loves me still today,
Walking with me on my way,
Wanting as a friend to give
Light and love to all who live.
  4. Jesus loves me! He who died
    Heaven’s gate to open wide;
He will wash away my sin,
Let His little child come in.
  5. Jesus loves me! He will stay
    Close beside me all the way;
Thou hast bled and died for me,
I will henceforth live for Thee.

Jesus's life

Most of Jesus's life is told through the four Gospels of the New Testament Bible, known as the Canonical gospels, written by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. These are not biographies in the modern sense but accounts with allegorical intent. They are written to engender faith in Jesus as the Messiah and the incarnation of God, who came to teach, suffer and die for people’s sins.
Jesus was born circa 6 B.C. in Bethlehem. His mother, Mary, was a virgin who was betrothed to Joseph, a carpenter. Christians believe Jesus was born through Immaculate Conception. His lineage can be traced back to the house of David. According to the Gospel of Matthew (2:1), Jesus was born during the reign of Herod the Great, who upon hearing of his birth felt threatened and tried to kill Jesus by ordering all of Bethlehem’s male children under age two to be killed. But Joseph was warned by an angel and took Mary and the child to Egypt until Herod’s death, where upon he brought the family back and settled in the town of Nazareth, in Galilee.
There is very little written about Jesus's early life. The Gospel of Luke (2:41-52) recounts that a 12-year-old Jesus had accompanied his parents on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem and became separated. He was found several days later in a temple, discussing affairs with some of Jerusalem’s elders. Throughout the New Testament, there are trace references of Jesus working as a carpenter while a young adult. It is believed that he began his ministry at age 30 when he was baptized by John the Baptist, who upon seeing Jesus, declared him the Son of God.
After baptism, Jesus went into the Judean desert to fast and meditate for 40 days and nights. The Temptation of Christ is chronicled in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke (known as the Synoptic Gospels). The Devil appeared and tempted Jesus three times, once to turn stone to bread, once to cast himself off a mountain where angels would save him, and once to offer him all the kingdoms of the world. All three times, Jesus rejected the Devil's temptation and sent him off.

Jesus Christ was born

Jesus Christ was born circa 6 B.C. in Bethlehem. Little is known about his early life, but his life and his ministry are recorded in the New Testament, more a theological document than a biography. According to Christians, Jesus is considered the incarnation of God and his teachings are followed as an example for living a more spiritual life. Christians believe he died for the sins of all people and rose from the dead.

Praise to my God

I give praise to my God for you at all times, because of the grace of God which has been given to you in Christ Jesus.
So that in him you have wealth in all things, in word and in knowledge of every sort.
Even as the witness of the Christ has been made certain among you.
So that having every grace you are living in the hope of the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Who will give you strength to the end, to be free from all sin in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
God is true, through whom you have been given a part with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Now I make request to you, my brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you will all say the same thing, and that there may be no divisions among you, so that you may be in complete agreement, in the same mind and in the same opinion.
Because it has come to my knowledge, through those of the house of Chloe, that there are divisions among you, my brothers.

Believe

My spirit is glad in God my Saviour
For he has had pity on his servant, though she is poor and lowly placed: and from this hour will all generations give witness to the blessing which has come to me.
For he who is strong has done great things for me; and holy is his name.
His mercy is for all generations in whom is the fear of him.
With his arm he has done acts of power; he has put to flight those who have pride in their hearts.
He has put down kings from their seats, lifting up on high the men of low degree.
Those who had no food he made full of good things; the men of wealth he sent away with nothing in their hands.
His help he has given to Israel, his servant, so that he might keep in mind his mercy to Abraham and his seed for ever.
As he gave his word to our fathers.

Creator

Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul
While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.
Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.
His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:
Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:
Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners:
The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:
The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.
The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD.

Salvation

Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation.
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name .
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

blessed

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper
The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Fear

Have no fear, for I am with you; do not be looking about in trouble, for I am your God; I will give you strength, yes, I will be your helper; yes, my true right hand will be your support

God is not a man

God is not a man, to say what is false; or the son of man, that his purpose may be changed

Christ is God power

The message about the cross doesn’t make any sense to lost people. But for those of us who are being saved, it is God’s power at work. As God says in the scriptures, “I will destroy the wisdom of all, who claim to be wise, I will confuse those who think they know so much”.
What happened to those wise people? What happened to those experts in the scriptures? What happened to the ones who think the have all the answer?  Did not God show that the wisdom of this world is foolish? God was wise and decided not to let the people of this world use their wisdom to learn about Him

Why stories

When Jesus was alone with the twelve apostles and some others, they asked Him about these stories. He answered “I have explained the secret about God’s kingdom to you, but for others I can use only stories, the reason is, these people will look and look, but never see. They will listen and listen, but never understand. If they did, they would turn to God, and He would forgive them

The Lord invitation

If you are tirsty, come and drink water, if you do not have any money, come, eat what you want. Drink wine and milk without paying a cent. Why waste your money on what really is not food? Why work hard for something that does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me and you will enjoy the very best foods

Give

Each of you must make up your own mind about how much to give, but do not feel sorry that you must give, and do not feel that you are forced to give. God loves people who love to give. God can bless you with everything you need, and you will always have more than enough to do all kinds of good things for others.

Living

Let your hope make you glad. Be patient in time of trouble and never stop praying. Take care of God’s needy people and welcome strangers in to your home. Ask God to bless averyone who mistreats you. Ask Him to bless them and not to curse them.

Come

Jesus said to them, “come with Me, I will teach you how to bring in people instead of fish

Your servant

Do not forget your promise to me, your servant. I depent on it. When I am hurting, I find comfort in your promise that leads to life. Conceited people sneer at me, but I obey your law.

I will not affraid

I may walk through valleys as dark as death, but won’t be affraid, You are with me, and your shepherd’s rod makes me feel save. You treat me to a feast, while my enemies watch. You honour me as your guest. And You fill my cup until it overflows. Your kindness and love will always be with me each day of my life, and I will live for ever in your house, Lord.

Prayer

You have answer my prayer and my plea for mercy. My enemies will be ashamed and terrified, as they quickly run away in complete disgrace

Hard Headed

The Lord said, “Ezekiel son of man, I want you to stand up and listen.” After He said this, his spirit took control of me and lifted me to my feet, then the Lord said “Ezekiel, I am sending you to the people of Israel, they are just like their ancestors who rebelled against Me & refused to stop, they are stubborn & hard headed, but I lord God, have chosen you to tell them what I say, those rebbels may not even listen, but at least the will know that a prophet has come to them, do not be afraid of them or anything they say, you may think you are in the middle of a patch of thorns or a bunch of scorpions, but be brave & preach my message to them, wheather they choose to listen or not.
