The Lord God demands loyalty. In his anger, He takes revenge
on his enemies. The Lord is powerful, yet patient, He makes sure that the
guilty are always punished. He can be seen in storms and in whirlwinds, clouds
are the dust from His feet.

Abraham son
One hot summer afternoon Abraham was sitting by the entrance
to his tent near the sacred trees of mamre, when the lord appeared to him.
Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. While they were eating, he
stood near them under the trees, and they asked, “Where is your wife Sarah?”.
“she is right there in the tent,” Abraham answered. One of the guest was the
Lord, and He said, “I will come back about this time next year, and when I do,
Sarah will already have a son.” Sarah was behind Abraham, listening at the entrance
to the tent. Abraham and Sarah were very old, and Sarah was well pass the age
for having children. So she laughed and said to her self, “Now that I am worn
out and my husband is old, will I really know such happiness?”. The Lord asked
Abraham, “why did Sarah laugh? Does she doubt that she can have a child in her
old age? I am the Lord! There is nothing too difficult for me. I will come back
next year at the time I promised, and Sarah will already have a son.” Sarah was
so frightened that she lied and said, “I did not laugh.” “ yes you did” He
answered.
A Man with an evil spirit
Suddenly a man
with an evil spirit in him entered the meeting place and yelled, “Jesus from
Nazareth, what do you want with us? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you
are ! you are God’s Holy One.”
Jesus told the
evil spirit,”Be quiet and come outof the man.” The spirit shook him. Then it gave a loud shout and left.
Jesus Begins His Work
After John was arrested, Jesus went to Gallilee
and spread the good news that comes from God. He said , “the time has come!
God’s kingdom will soon be here. Turn back to God and believe the good news
Jesus thold them
Jesus came to
them and said :
I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth!. Go to the
people of all nations and make them my disciples, baptise them in the name of
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to do everything I
have told you, I will be with you always, even until the end of the world
